Columbus Navigator Logo

Hello Thursday, it's Tracie.

This weekend, head to the fairgrounds for its best event.  And yes, I know it's not time for the

actual

fair just yet ๐ŸŽก.  If you love to read, or listen to music, or buy posters, or all of those things, this is a sale you will not want to miss. Nothing is priced higher than $2 and while yes, these are mostly used items, they're not all old.  You can find titles that are still hitting the bestseller lists alongside the classics.

Pro tip: Get a cart, and be ready to do some digging.  There's an organization system in place, but it's easy to get lost in the stacks. ๐Ÿ“š

Longread Even though my favorite founding father, Alexander Hamilton, didn't agree with Thomas Jefferson, I think he'd appreciate TJ's quote: "when injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty."You've all heard about the separation of migrant children from their parents at the border. And rightfully so, as it's atrocious. Yes, I am aware that at the time of this newsletter, the President has pledged to end this policy, but no, this doesn't mean it's over. There was a quote floating around the internet this week, not my own, that this is not a political issue, it's a moral issue.  Democrats, Republicans, and those unaffiliated with any party must come together and resist. In addition to the human rights aspect, there's also a financial aspect to consider. And that wall ain't gonna pay for itself (also, neither is Mexico). NBC News: Trump Administration's 'Tent Cities' Cost More Than Keeping Migrant Children With Their Families
