This Ohio Harry Potter Festival Is Going To Be Magical AF ⚡️⚡️⚡️

Hello Thursday. It's Chelsea.
It's no secret that I'm a Hufflepuff. If you've spent the last two decades living under a rock and somehow that word sounds like jibberish to you, I can translate. It's a Harry Potter reference and it means that I'm from the
best
house at Hogwarts. Yeah, I said it. I have been totally enchanted by the wizarding world of Harry Potter since I first read
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
in 1998. After 20 years, I still love to take advantage of any opportunity to geek out with my fellow Potterheads, which is why I'm pretty over-the-moon right now. A magical Harry Potter Festival will be celebrating 20 years of Potter in Lancaster the first weekend of August, and I fully expect to see you all there: witches, wizards, and muggles alike. ⚡️🧙🏻♂️

Around Town 🏘This would have been bizarre - Papa John's was recently in talks to merge with Wendy's. The discussion apparently cooled after Papa John's founder John Schnatter stepped down from his role after using a racial slur. [Wall Street Journal]Columbus Humane Society has taken over Eat Purr Love Cat Cafe in Clintonville after the owner moved out of state. Over 300 cats have been adopted from the store since opening in fall of 2016, so it seems like a purrfect match (sorry). [CU/Post]Columbus police are in the news for this viral video of an officer punching a man. When these things happen lately I'm always reminded of this piece from earlier this year that discusses the history of this sort of thing and Columbus PD. [Pacific Standard/Green]

Longread ⏰I've mentioned here before that I can't resist stories of fraud, or potential fraud. This is a good one."The Spanish ultra-athlete has spent the past decade crushing a generation of elite rivals and redefining the limits of human endurance. But when he notched back-to-back speed ascents of Everest in 2017, critics pounced on the claims."Outside: Are Kilian Jornet's Speed Records Too Good to Be True?
