Happy Thursday! Chelsea here.

Imagine what life in Columbus was like over 100 years ago. Back before modern history as we know it, a small little event called The World's Fair was held in Chicago. I'm just kidding. This thing was the event of the century and it took America by storm. One of the many exciting inventions to come out of the fair was the postcard. Back then, people probably just thought of it as a clever way to be able to visually share their surroundings with friends and family who were far away. The Instagram of the early 1900s, if you please. Now, these surviving postcards give us a chance to take a unique peek into life in Columbus at the start of the 20th century.

I don't know why, but Thursday seems like the perfect day to talk about barbecue. Perfectly smoked, juicy, and always accompanied by delicious and (usually) secretive sauces, a good helping of BBQ will get you feeling great in no time. Looks like you've got your dinner plans covered, friends!

We spend a lot of time talking about the perfect dream home. But what if you aren't looking for a forever home, but rather, the perfect home for right now? Well, don't worry fam. Renters are important too, and we wanted to take a look at what a $1,300 rental budget will actually get you in Columbus.

Bad Butterfly News πŸ¦‹

If you think there are fewer butterflies than there used to be, you might have a point. 21 years of volunteer data on butterfly populations in Ohio were recently analyzed and it seems that Ohio has lost 1/3rd of its butterflies in that time. There's much more to the story,

, but it's not great. Maybe plant some milkweed if you have room.

Ask An Old Guy ❓

This probably isn't as good as Siri, technically,

I can't help but find

if it results in the message getting out there. I'm also fighting the compulsion to add as many emojis as possible here.
