Hold me closer, Tiny Dancer.  Elton John's farewell tour is headed to town. 🎹

Happy Thursday, it's Tracie.

Growing up, my parents had a copy of Elton John's Greatest Hits (encompassing 1970-1974).  I'd [crocodile] rock out to "Daniel" all damn day.  Well, as much as you can rock out to a ballad, I guess. Especially when it's on a cassette tape and you have to rewind/fast forward just right to replay a song. And if you don't at least tap your foot when "Honky Cat" comes on, are you even a card carrying member of the "Rocket Club"? Um, that's the official Elton John fandom, not that I'm affiliated or the Vice President or anything.

In news that's equal parts exciting and sad, EJ has announced his final tour, and lucky for us, it includes a stop at the Schott.

Longread 💸There are lots of memes on the internet about how irresponsible millennials are, or how different things are for this generation versus Generation X or Baby Boomers, as they come into adulthood. Lately, a new micro-generation has even been identified (Xennials) to highlight the differences within the previously defined generational boundaries. One of the stereotypes of millennials that seems to frequent the conversation, is their lack of responsibility when it comes to finances. Not so, says a new study by Bank of America.According to their independent research, 1 in 6 millennials have savings of $100,000 or more. [USAToday]
