With the most romantic day of the year right around the corner, plenty of people in Columbus are thinking about what sort of Valentine's Day dinner they'd like to have. My husband and I, on the other hand, have never been big celebrators of that mushy, lovely holiday. But one thing we do enjoy is a nice steak dinner. Mountain Bike Columbus 🚵♀️
Mountain biking trails are coming to Columbus Metro Parks. Three to five trails will be built at the new Quarry Trails Metro Park, some as long as a mile, and of varying degrees of difficulty. Metro Parks executive director Tim Moloney says he wants the biking to be fun for spectators as well, comparing it to the climbing wall at Scioto Audubon.

This article is a good overview of the Envision Hilltop plan recently released by the city. This stat really jumped out at me - only "84 people live and work in the plan’s focus area boundary". Of course, it's not uncommon for a community to be full of commuters, but the article goes on to point out that the majority of people in the Hilltop travel by foot, bike, or bus. Coffee Columbus ☕️
Congratulations to Crimson Cup Coffee for winning a 2020 Good Food award. The award recognizes epicurean excellence as well as a commitment to sustainable social and environmental practices. Crimson Cup managed to prevail in a blind taste test involving 1,835 entries from 43 states, which sounds pretty intense. Kossa Kebena was the winning blend, which you can check out at the link below.

Little late for Taco Tuesday, so can we just make Taco Thursday a thing? These beautiful huaraches are from El Huarache Veloz. If you're unfamiliar, huaraches are "long masa dough based dish with smashed pinto beans in the center, and this one was topped with al pastor, onions, lettuce, cilantro, and crema". You can find El Huarache Veloz at 2327 W. Broad St.
