I know a lot of people think that the best time to visit Hocking Hills is in the fall. And to be honest, I get it. The fall foliage is unparalleled and the temperature is usually perfect, but the problem is that everyone knows that. The parks can get crowded, which isn’t exactly what I’m going for when I want to disappear into the peace and quiet of nature for a while. That’s why I’ve become a recent convert to visiting the area in the winter instead. It’s a great place to get cozy for a night or two and let the troubles of everyday life melt away. There are some really gorgeous spots to stay in the area, but I can’t express enough how impressed I was with this gorgeous getaway.
