Happy Thursday! Chelsea here.

Ohio may be known as the roller coaster capital of the world, but let's be honest, it's not because of Columbus. But back in the day, that wasn't true! Did you know that our fair city was actually home to 4 impressive amusement parks? Their doors have long since shuttered and almost nothing remains of these bygone places, but we can reminisce about them together here. This bums me out a little if I'm being honest. I'm not a thrill seeker, but it would be so cool to have an amusement park close by! The past people of Columbus knew how to have a good time. 🎢

Navigator Feature Story:

Navigator Originals ✏️

 📚

Guys, I'm freaking out. You all know how much I love books. When I was a little kid, my dream job was writing the blurbs on the back of books because I thought that meant I'd just get to read books and then write a paragraph about them for a living. All that being said, you can imagine my uncontainable excitement about a place that has over 200,000 books for sale!

The day is finally here! Nina West will make her debut on RuPaul's Drag Race tonight. Here are all the ways you can watch our Queen start what is definitely going to be her season.

Talking Points ❤️

Inevitable 🎭

Mirage 🎪

Planet Oasis, the $2 billion Delaware project,

. We've followed this project in this newsletter, and that's always kind of felt like the way it would go, yeah? I'm not sure we need $2 billion of 90's mall-style sprawl in an already brutal area for traffic anyway but maybe the best parts of the plan (the movie theatre? I guess?) will still get built.

Affordable Housing 🏡

WOSU has a great two-part series on how Columbus

when it comes to building affordable housing, and also

. Columbus announced yesterday that a

would become youth-centric dorm-style housing with access to living wage jobs and a health clinic included in the rent. The

will be for homeless youth (18-24) as well as kids who "age out of" the foster care system.
