It's fake Friday, aka Thursday, which means that I like to spend at least 20 minutes pretending like I can have my dream weekend. Today, that dream consists of a few relaxing days in Ohio's Amish Country. Maybe that sounds surprising, but to me, it sounds like heaven. Amish Country has amazing food, beautifully crafted goods, and lots of fresh air, all of which sounds pretty dang amazing. The cherry on the top of this daydream sundae is a place called Berlin Resort. Just trust me, you'll be planning your trip before you even get to the indoor saltwater pool. 😍

Gas Tax Hike Details Are Clarifying 💸

We've been speculating for weeks on the coming gas tax, and the proposal is now concrete. Mike DeWine will be

asking lawmakers today for an 18 cent increase

, a 64% raise over the current tax. No word yet on what the phase-in will look like, or if DeWine will ask to have the tax pegged to inflation going forward, as he has hinted. Mike DeWine

Riverdale fans may find this interesting: OSU's Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum, one of the most interesting museums in Columbus, announced Wednesday they have acquired the Dan DeCarlo Collection, which consists of original Archie comics, among many other things, mostly from the 80's and 90's. Columbus State Wins A Major Award 🎓

Community colleges struggle with graduation rates nationally, reflecting the often precarious positions many of their students inhabit, but Columbus State is bucking those trends. The college has won an award for tripling the number of students graduating within three years by implementing intense intervention and mentorship programs.
