Around Town πBreakfast with Nick revisits South of Lane, an Upper Arlington cafe. I need to check it out, because waffles are the greatest things in creation, but Nick is correct in that there are too many subpar versions out there. These look fantastic. You'll probably get a laugh at some of the dish names. [Breakfast With Nick]Columbus is inching closer to a record number of homicides, and police chief Kim Jacobs says their resources are overtaxed. As we covered earlier this year, Columbus police solves homicides at half the rate they did in the 90's, and it isn't improving. Jacobs says their overtime costs are skyrocketing and she would like to hire more officers and detectives. Some cities have improved their clearance rates, significantly, so perhaps there are lessons to be learned for Kim Jacobs and Columbus PD. [WOSU]A central Ohio man has built a replica of R2-D2. This is more impressive than it might sound at first glance - it weighs 175 lbs, is virtually identical to the movie version, took two and a half years to build, and is fully functional. [10TV]
