The Rundown:Weather: 76. Mostly sunny. Pretty gorgeous stretch of weather we're having, and it should last through the weekend.To do: It's Obetz Zucchini Fest time. The festival will run from Thursday to Sunday and includes everything you'd expect in a small town festival: rides, food, and entertainment. And of course a competition to see who grew the largest zucchini this year. Check out all the details here.

Senator Rob Portman Visits The New Opiate Stabilization Center Opening In Merion Village [Miller]Portman is a hard guy to figure out at times, saying recently Trump is fit to serve as president, but then playing the moderate at others. Regardless, it's good to see him concerned about the opiate crisis. This new drug treatment facility has some in Merion Village concerned with its location, but as Zoey says in this piece, the opiate situation is touching every neighborhood, and every demographic. There's really no escaping it.
The Thursday Conversation:Did you know Columbus had a horror themed nightclub in the early 40's called Catacomb? It was filled with skulls, skeletons, magicians, and lots of adult themed entertainment. Life magazine visited and the pictures are amazing. [Mashable]AEP is bringing a new design in power poles to New Albany, the first innovation in 50 years according to Columbus Business First. The new poles will be made of metal, and curvy. They'll also be shorter and with smaller footprints - but they aren't replacing the poles on your street.
