There was a stretch where it seemed Amazon was going to completely destroy physical bookstores, but it's been a wonderful and welcome surprise to see independents in Columbus making a comeback in recent years. The library is my BFF and all-time #1, but life is better with good non-chain retail stores in the mix as options. Here are our 8 central Ohio favorites.

The Columbus Blue Jackets get back to climbing the mountain tonight, taking on the Boston Bruins in round 2 of the NHL playoffs. The Bruins are only two days removed from winning game 7 of a

F Is For ♻️

Franklin County received an F air quality rating from the American Lung Association on Wednesday, as

part of their annual "State of the Air" report.

The F was specifically for the number of high ozone days, which are a serious danger for the elderly and anyone with compromised lungs or other health problems (and really, a problem at some level for all of us.) Air quality in Columbus has improved dramatically since the 1990s but still lags behind more rural areas. For example, Delaware County received a B for high ozone days.

is all well and good, but I'd add that it's not just Clintonville's Facebook group that's brutal, it's really Facebook groups in every community. I can vouch that Bexley's group can be barbaric, even with a no politics rule.
