I guess it’s that time of the month when I exclaim, “how is it already November?” We’re zooming towards the end of 2024, but let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. There really is so much to look forward to this month (which we’ll get into later) but before we start making those plans, we should probably talk about what we’re going to eat! I know that yesterday was just Halloween, but we’re about to dive head first into the holiday season, my friends. November is shaping up to be a jam-packed month, so you might want to bust out your calendar (or app) and get planning!

👏 This New $500 Monthly Program In Columbus Aims To Change Lives
The Economic Mobility Accelerator Program is set to run for two years and aims to improve the financial security, health, and overall quality of life for up to 200 households in the city. The program would absolutely change lives, but it still needs to be approved by the city council.

Headlines 📰 

💸 Big Lots has been sold for $765 million to Nexus Capital Management after filing for bankruptcy. The Santa Monica investment firm plans to take over in December, while Big Lots continues closing stores and restructuring following significant losses this year. (NBC4)

💻 Columbus is still recovering from a July cyber-attack, with IT services at 75% completion. Although employee internet access is restored, there's no timeline for full recovery. In the meantime, free credit monitoring is available until November 29. (WOSU)
