Hello, Friday! Chelsea here.
Well, we did it, my friends! The weekend is so close now and I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty excited. Before we all clock out and head to our Friday night plans, there’s one headline out of the Statehouse that’s too wild not to share. An Ohio lawmaker has introduced a bill to make it official: robots aren’t people, and you definitely can’t marry one. The proposal would label AI systems as “nonsentient entities,” banning them from things like legal personhood or human-like roles. It’s part of a growing debate over how far technology should go, and who’s really in control as AI keeps getting smarter.
