Welcome to October!
Have you been enjoying the nice fall weather? Well, just kidding! Because we live in Columbus, land of unpredictable weather, it's going to be 80 again all week.
But even if the weather isn't showing it yet, we're fully into fall, and this week's calendar of events is full of fall happenings. We'll get started with a look at October overall before moving onto what's on tap for you this week.

Geek out over Disney heroes.
Shadowbox Live is reprising their Roast of the Disney Heroes show, featuring many of your favorites, including Mickey, Hercules, Genie from Aladdin, Mary Poppins, and more.
Wednesday
Celebrate National Taco Day.
You are, of course, free to celebrate this sacred holiday in any way you see fit, so long as it involves tacos, but we suggest heading to a Local Cantina, where they are offering $2 tacos all day long.
Thursday
Spend the month with Alfred Hitchcock
. Gateway Film Center is spending the month showcasing eleven Hitchcock films, including seven that will be shown in 35 mm. Check the link for the full schedule, but today is

Friday
Experience Star Wars in concert.
See a screening of
Star Wars: A New Hope
accompanied by the Columbus Symphony Orchestra performing the Oscar-winning John Williams score.
Load up on Mac & Cheese for a good cause.
The Columbus Mac & Cheese Festival will run from 4-8pm at Easton Town Center and will feature many of the best restaurants in Columbus and their take on mac & cheese. Money raised will go towards the adolescent and young adult cancer program at the James.
Celebrate Italian heritage
. The Columbus Italian Festival runs through the weekend and features Taste of Italy, a parade, live music, bocce ball, and kids activities.
Kick off the Blue Jackets season.
It's opening night for our Columbus Blue Jackets. They take on the New York Islanders and will hopefully build on the awesome season they had last year.
Saturday
Kick off Fashion Week.
Columbus Fashion Week starts today and runs through the 14th. There will be events every day, and today's is a Kid's Fashion Show at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio Courtyard, featuring designs from HOMAGE, Deluca Designs, and mrly brand.
Watch the Buckeyes beat Maryland.
Ohio State takes on the Terrapins at 4pm.
Short North Gallery Hop.
It's the first Saturday of the month, so you know the drill.
Take in the other Oktoberfest.
Did you know Grove City has its very own Oktoberfest? Well, if you didn't, now you do. German food, German games, barrel rolling, and craft beer are all things to look for in the Grove City Town Center.
Sunday
Walk for a good cause.
The annual Autism Speaks Walk will take place at 8am at Columbus Commons and all proceeds go towards autism research.
