Happy Monday, friends! Chelsea, here.

I'm sure most people think this about their childhood, but I don't care. There was something magical about growing up in the 90s. Compared to parenting today, it seemed like the wild wild west. We were constantly antagonizing our neighborhood on our bikes or playing night tag in our grumpy old neighbor's yard. The television was amazing, the snacks were on point, and the fashion was... regrettable. After all, I never said the 90s were perfect. If you grew up in Columbus during the late 80s or 90s, then this list is about to hit you right in the feels.

7 Things To Know ❀️

  1. Michael Arace has been fantastic writing about the Crew for the last year, and you'll want to read his post-mortem now that the Crew appear to be saved. [Dispatch] ❀️

  2. The Boat House at Confluence Park might be on the Columbus Mt. Rushmore of restaurants. CMH Gourmand recently visited for their 1958 throwback menu (celebrating the 60th anniversary of Specialty Restaurants Corporation) and the photos are great. That pineapple cheesecake ... 3. Ohio Auditor Dave Yost named Powell as one of 7 "fiscally stressed" cities in Ohio. Yost acknowledged that Republican cuts to local and county governments have created challenging situations throughout Ohio, while also saying it's concerning to see cities like Powell facing fiscal stress during a time of economic growth and stability. 4. I love the concept here: a "blue collar" burger trail. [614 Now] πŸ”

  5. I'm also loving these great vintage photos of OSU's 1968 national champion football team. [Eleven Warriors] πŸˆ

  6. Senate candidates Sherrod Brown and Jim Renacci participated in their first debate yesterday. Here's a recap. [Cleveland.com] πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
