The Most Magical AF Ohio Christmas Towns 🎄🎄

Happy Monday. It's Chelsea.

Whether we like it or not, the holiday season is upon us. In just a month, we'll be able to sing the first verse of "The 12 Days of Christmas" and it will be totally applicable, although, I am definitely not asking for a partridge in a pear tree. If you're one of those people who has been ready for Christmas since Halloween, then you probably already have all of your celebrations and adventures planned. But just in case you've got a few empty weekends, I've got a few suggestions for you! Ohio has some awesome Christmas celebrations that basically take over entire towns, and they're just there waiting for you and all your holiday cheer.

This Viral Video Of An 89-Year-Old Comic Is Too Good Not To Share

There's nothing that makes me laugh harder than children or old people being "inappropriate". I don't know why. Perhaps because it's usually unexpected. Whatever the reason, I came across this video of an 89-year-old man in Cincinnati trying his hand at stand up comedy for the first time and I've now watched it at least 10 times.

The Crew will not be moving on...

Columbus lost 3-0, which means the Crew's playoff run ends in the conference semi-finals. Not a bad year, especially when accounting for all of the relocation drama. Winning a knockout round game and pushing the Supporter's Shield winning / best regular season team (by points) in MLS history isn't a terrible way to finish up. Dreaming big pays off...

It can sometimes feel like there are nothing but obstacles to better transit and an increase in biking and other alternative transportation models in Columbus, but there are lessons to be learned from Sevilla, Spain , a city of 700k, which went from having as much biking as Oklahoma City to as much biking as Portland, Oregon, all in the span of four years. This, despite roadblocks that will sound familiar to us here in Columbus, like the fact that driving had been on a serious upswing in the city. It's a fascinating case study.

The nearly 200-year-old dam at Buckeye Lake was found to be at risk for failure in 2015, and after $107 million and nearly three years of work the dam has been rebuilt and repaired.
