This Gorgeous Home Is A Rare Find In The Circles, One Of The City's Smallest Neighborhoods 🏡

May the 4th be with you! Chelsea here.

Welcome back to another week, my friends. I definitely plan on spending at least part of my day today watching some Star Wars content. It used to be a day reserved for my love of Ewoks (listen, they were my favorite as a kid and I find them endearing) but now I think this year will be solely dedicated to the one and only, Baby Yoda. I could probably ramble about Star Wars all day, but I love you guys and you don't deserve that, so instead, I'll jump into something that's much more down to earth: a dream home. This house is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Columbus. The Circles is a teeny, tiny neighborhood in Dennison Place and this beautiful place is definitely worth a look.

As the case total in Ohio creeps towards 20,000, the state begins to reopen some businesses. Here's your daily update about COVID-19 in Columbus.

I love taking a look back at vintage Columbus, and this short film from the 1980s is an absolute gem. If you've ever wondered what it would look like to see part of Columbus' skyline snatched out of the ground and taken into space, today is your lucky day.

Talking Points ❤️

Malabar Farm 🌾

Malabar Farm (now a state park -

) was once the site of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall's wedding in 1945. Bogart's best man, Louis Bromfield, owner of Malabar is the subject of a new biography that sounds very interesting. Bromfield was a celebrated and very famous writer before he decided to move to Ohio and found a farm in 1939 on 600 acres based on organic farming techniques he learned about in India. The link below goes into his life in a bit more detail, and it's a wild piece of Ohio history that sounds worthy of a longer biography:

Rough Timing 💸

Columbus City Schools is pondering a fall improvement levy that would generate $45 million per year from new property taxes. 13 of 109 Columbus City School buildings will still lack air conditioning heading into 2021, and yet

Dublin Riverboxes 🖼

I love this concept from Dublin. It would be great if other central Ohio cities just went ahead and took inspiration, particularly with *all of this* happening. Riverboxes are "

artist-created vessels that are inspired by the hobbies of letterboxing and geocaching which combine map-reading or GPS skills and artistic pursuit with delightful ‘treasure hunts’ in beautiful, scenic places

". It sounds like a unique activity that allows you to get out of the house and enjoy art and nature while still being able to practice social distancing.
