BrewDog Franklinton is open, Columbus buildings are in danger, and Book of Mormon is offering discounted tickets. Hello Monday! 🍺🏬🎭

Welcome back - it's James.

I hope you all had a fun and relaxing weekend. These summer-like temperatures are perfect for a few different things, but one thing in particular: They are perfect patio beer weather. With Columbus Craft Beer Week kicking off this week, it's only appropriate that we get to experience a delicious craft beer on one of the most amazing rooftop patios we've seen yet this year.

The new BrewDog in Franklinton is officially open. The new pub is two stories and features a killer view of downtown Columbus.

Monday Weather 🌡84, 60% chance of thunderstorms, mainly in morning and early afternoon. ⛈

Navigator Originals ✏️These Are The 9 Most Endangered Buildings In ColumbusColumbus isn't exactly known for keeping our beautiful, historical buildings around. (Looking at you Union Station) The Columbus Landmarks Foundation released their 5th annual list of the most endangered buildings in the city, ranging from dilapidated and vacant to well-maintained facilities in high-demand areas. The Book of Mormon Will Offer $25 Lottery TicketsThe Book of Mormon tells the hilarious tale of two missionaries in Africa who learn more about life than they ever could have dreamt of. If it sounds like a wholesome family show, you're wrong. It's raunchy and wild and one of the biggest hits that's ever come out of Broadway. While the show is playing here in Columbus, there will be a traditional, Broadway-style lottery for $25 tickets held each day. Feeling lucky?

Around Town 🏘Back to endangered buildings, a Reynoldsburg house that made the list in 2013 has been rehabbed by a couple who bought it four years ago. This is a great example of the potential of these buildings - just check out the photos. [Dispatch/Weiker]Despite being fairly up on Columbus news (what with this newsletter and all), I did not realize that the changes to Columbus City Council voted in last Tuesday will not take effect for SIX years. That's correct: 2024. [WOSU/Namigadde]This is my favorite local headline in a while: "Neighbors in Delaware subdivision upset over giant wall of dirt". That is the apex of Delaware. Also, the wall of dirt is 30 feet tall and 1000 feet long, according to the aggrieved party. And finally, in the most outrageous part of the story, it's revealed that any landscaping construction in Liberty Township over 18 inches high requires a permit. Exurban life isn't for the weak. [NBC4]
