Hello, Monday! Chelsea here.

I think it's safe to say that it's probably never been more important to shop locally. If you've been debating on whether or not you can get by without visiting big box stores and online retailers like Amazon, I'm here to tell you that you absolutely can, and it won't even be that hard. Columbus has some truly fantastic local vendors who are waiting to make all your shopping dreams come true.

Navigator Originals ✏️

 💊

This summer's 4th of July celebrations are going to look a lot different. Several Central Ohio communities have announced that their celebrations have been canceled or delayed.

 🎨

I love any excuse to get out and see some art, and that's especially true now that I'm at home basically 24/7. I love when the community comes together to create something beautiful, and Columbus artists have really stepped up this time. If you haven't had a chance to check these mural cubes out in person yet, you're missing out!

Talking Points ❤️

Information Overload 🧠

If you are on social media, you probably saw people sharing a viral video late last week that was full of coronavirus misinformation and conspiracy theories. This link isn't about that video, not really, it's about how to have a set of consistent criteria to evaluate the deluge of information we're all faced with every day.

Art Cars 🚙

You've almost certainly seen an "art car" around Columbus - cars that are uniquely painted or covered in various bric-à-brac. Here are some of their stories. I love all of these, whether I find them visually appealing or not. Just the art for art's sake is pleasing.

Artist's Retreat 🖼

I had to pair this article with the one above because they share similar sensibilities. I don't really know how to sum this place up, so I'll quote from the article: "

Ike Okafor-Newsum’s and Connie Richards’ retirement abode combines artistic creation, social commentary and an Airbnb.
