The Mix Charcoal Kitchen Has An Insanely Unique Menu... Including Stewed Camel  ๐Ÿฝ

Happy Monday! Chelsea here.

Welcome back to another week, my friends. I hope you all survived the time change this weekend, and that you enjoyed that sunset that didn't happen until 7:30! I hate giving up an hour of sleep, but it may have been worth it. We're kicking this week off with a food adventure. So get out of the comfort zone, put on your eating pants, and be prepared to try something new. Malini Swank visited Columbus' only Peruvian-Somalian restaurant and she's got a lot to tell you about.

 ๐Ÿš—

Ready to ditch the fast pace of life in the city? Load up the car and head out to Ohio's Amish Country. There's plenty to eat, see, and shop, and we know exactly where you should stay, and I only need three words to convince you: indoor saltwater pool.

Say goodbye to stressful wedding planning and hello to The Wedding Expo at The Kitchen. This is one-stop-shopping for all of the happy couples out there, plus, you get a free mimosa. Cheers! #sponsored

Talking Points โค๏ธ

A Silver Lining ๐Ÿฝ

The Arnold Classic being (mostly) closed to spectators and the expo being canceled left organizers with a ton of food and nobody to eat it. It didn't go to waste, however, as the event was able to send the meals to first responders and tornado victims in Nashville.

The Humble Pawpaw ๐ŸŒณ

Everyone who has spent some time tramping around in Ohio's woods knows all about the pawpaw, but it's a mystery to many Americans. This wasn't always the case - in 1916 it was voted the American fruit most likely to succeed, ahead of blueberries and cranberries. This episode of a podcast called Gastropod talks about the history of the pawpaw, the annual

that takes place near Athens, and how the pawpaw is primed for a revival.

Around The Table ๐Ÿ›

I really enjoyed this article about

, a local carpentry & design company that has put their products into many of the local places you probably know and love, like Hot Chicken Takeover, Native Cold Pressed, Rockmill Tavern, North Market, and Fox In The Snow.
