The Most Beautiful Lakes In Ohio πŸ’¦πŸ›Ά

The Life & Art Of Barbara Shermund

Sponsored by Decorative Arts Center of Ohio which is proud to present a Virtual Tour of Tell Me a Story Where the Bad Girl Wins: The Life & Art of Barbara Shermund. Starting in 1925, Shermund contributed nine covers and hundreds of cartoons to the New Yorker, and later became a celebrated mainstay at Esquire. Her cartoons had a fierce and feminist electricity rarely seen in that era of male-dominated cartooning. Learn more and take the tour right here! πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Happy Monday. Chelsea here.

I don't know who we have to talk to in order to keep having this incredible weather, but I'm willing to write a letter or something. Seriously, I hope you all had the best weekend possible and that you got a chance to get outside and take advantage of the blue skies and gentle breeze. We're jumping into this week with a little daydreaming about waterfront getaways. Family vacations may look different this year due to COVID-19, but it's a great time to check out some of Ohio's most beautiful lakes. From quiet fishing spots to weekends on the boat, here are some lakes around the state that you should definitely check out this summer.

CNN and Sesame Street hosted a town fall for kids and parents over the weekend called 'The ABC's of COVID-19'. Kids from around the country submitted questions and Dr. Acton, along with Dr. Sanja Gupta, answered them. The whole town hall is a great watch for families, not just the part with Dr. Acton.

Speaking of amazing weather... you'd better get out there and enjoy it while it lasts. Columbus has fantastic parks, and here are 10 that we absolutely love to visit in the summer.

On Friday, protesters gathered alongside and in support of Adrienne Hood, the mother of Henry Green, a 23-year-old man who was shot and killed by plainclothes police officers in Linden on June 6, 2016.

The Daily In Columbus πŸŽ“

The Daily podcast, from The New York Times, is a massive success that you've probably heard of if you are into news or news-adjacent podcasts even a little bit. (Here's more

) On Friday, they spent the episode speaking with a teacher from here in Columbus on the challenges of remote learning and what that means for education now and going forward. It's really worth listening to, and while I wouldn't call 32 minutes short, the episode doesn't drag.
