9 Outdoor Fitness Experiences To Work Out Those Quarantine Blues πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ

The ArtPop Street Gallery is back! ArtPop Cbus will shine the spotlight on our city’s talented artists by placing their work on available billboards and newsstands throughout Franklin County. Franklin County visual artists working in all media are invited to submit artwork for consideration and possible display on one of five available billboards circulating the central Ohio region in 2020. Click here for more info! πŸŽ¨

Happy Monday! Chelsea here.

I had big plans for working out in 2020, but then 2020 actually happened and I think you can all guess where this is going. I let things slide a little this spring but now the weather is warm and it's time to start taking advantage of the outdoor fitness experiences around Columbus. There are so many ways to get moving and have fun, which is exactly what I'm looking for.

Unless you've been living under a rock, you have probably heard about the petition to recall Mayor Ginther. But what exactly does that mean? Here's what the mayoral recall process looks like here in Columbus.

Talking Points ❀️

Sports! πŸ€

I'm not a huge sports fan, but I'm a big fan of normalcy, which makes me excited that we'll have real basketball on television this week, as Columbus hosts The Basketball Tournament at Nationwide Arena. TBT 2020 is a 24-team, single-elimination tournament

. Many of the teams are filled with alumni from various college programs, and Ohio State has a team called Carmen's Crew, with many players you'll probably find familiar, including Aaron Craft, William Buford, Jon Diebler, and Jared Sullinger. You can view

. Carmen's Crew will first tip-off on July 8th, and you'll be able to watch on ESPN. More info at the link below:

A Vital List 🍨

If you're anything like me, ice cream has been a major comfort food for the last four months. That has its ups and downs, but one down has been some burnout when it comes to old standbys. That's why I was excited to see the list below, with quite a few new places I need to try.

Gyms In A Time Of Pandemic πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ

Believe it or not, we try to keep it light around here as much as possible, even though, you know *gestures at everything*

As a society, we seem to be fixated right now on how restaurants and bars are holding up, understandably since those are businesses most of us use more often than others. But just about every consumer-facing business is dealing with an extinction-level event here, with no ability to plan for the future since COVID-19 doesn't have an expiration date. Here's an article talking about how local gyms are holding up, and it's mostly as grim as you might expect.

Whimsical statues were installed in German Village last fall (we did

at the time) but were meant to move to another city by March. The statues have stuck around though and according to

they'll now be staying through September! Great news if you haven't had a chance to check them out at Schiller Park just yet. 🎨
