Event Announcement! Spoilers: It's very "Pinterest meets HGTV" ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ

Sponsored by Green Haven Living: an exclusively eco-friendly home furnishings and gifts boutique, located in Westerville. Definitely going to pick up some of these "seed bombs" - so genius!

Happy Monday! Chelsea here.

I love starting the week with something super exciting. Not only because I feel like you all are super awesome and deserve to be in-the-know. It's also because I'm so stoked about this. As a millennial who has found the prospect of buying a home completely daunting, I couldn't be more thrilled that our Director of Events, Leanne, is planning a one-of-a-kind home event, complete with local experts, panels, classes, and a vendor market. This is so much more than just a home show. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ

We sit down with Executive Vice President of Danny Wimmer Presents, Gary Spivack to talk about the upcoming Sonic Music Festival, and just how different it's looking from the previous Rock on the Range festivals.

Everyone knows that we love donuts here at Columbus Navigator. Which is why we were pretty jazzed to go check out the newest donut shop in town, Dragon Donuts. I hope you're ready to have a new obsession.

Talking Points โค๏ธ

All In ๐Ÿ’

The Blue Jackets are going for it. Faced with the near certainty that two of their best players will be leaving in free agency (goalie Sergei Bobrovsky and Artemi Panarin ), the Jackets had to decide whether they wanted to trade the two and try to reload for the future or go for it in 2019. It's looking like the latter

. The newest Blue Jackets are center Matt Duchene and forward Ryan Dzingel, both coming from the Ottawa Senators. Dzingel

and while he's a pending free agent, he did spend his college years at Ohio State, making an extension a possibility. All of this activity has some saying the Blue Jackets are "

".

Did you know the first drive-through restaurant in Ohio

? Gotta be honest, that baby is a little strange, but how cool?

The Columbus Dispatch is

at the soon to be built Arena District Crew Stadium. The stadium is still a year+ from breaking ground, and also global warming is likely to remake the planet into a hellscape within all of our lifetimes, but then again, not having to walk for a few minutes is crucial.

On that last note ๐Ÿš

Here's some quality discussion surrounding Mayor Ginther

, lauding Smart Columbus and touting a future city with "mobility that provides equity and improves the quality of life for all of our residents". A city with no planned mass transit beyond COTA buses.
