Happy December! Chelsea here.

I cannot believe we've officially entered the last month of not only the year but the decade. What a wild ride it's been. Whenever I come upon big milestones like this, I tend to get a little nostalgic, but this year, I'm trying my hardest to stay in the present and build a positive future. So in that spirit, I'd like to share some of the things I'm most looking forward to this month. There's a lot to be excited about people, and it probably won't surprise any of you that one of these events is Harry Potter related. I just can't help myself. That nostalgia always gets back in there somehow.

Is there any better way to start your Monday morning than by celebrating the newest babe at the Columbus Zoo? If the new polar bear is half as cute as their sister Nora, we're all in for a real treat.

Every year, more film productions come to Ohio to create movie magic. From superhero blockbusters to Academy Award-winning dramas, Ohio has been the stage for several films over the past few decades. Take a look. You will be surprised at how many you recognize.

Looking to add some variety to your holiday gifts this year? Or maybe you just want to treat yourself. Either way, head directly to the Columbus Museum of Art. It may seem like a weird place to do some shopping, but just trust me on this one.

Talking Points ❀️

Ohio > Michigan 🏈

Ohio State dominated Michigan on Saturday for their 15th win in the last 16 years of The Game. Highlights included the Michigan defense at one point

. Dobbins scored four touchdowns and went for 211 yards, so it didn't slow him down much. QB Justin Fields

that Ohio State 'takes (The Game) more seriously' than Michigan, which probably isn't actually true, but maybe? Michigan has always had a giant lead in the series, mostly built before football modernized, but after the past 15 years, even that advantage

. 58–51–6 Michigan is now the tally, after standing 56–35–6 in the year 2000. It shouldn't be too much longer until that mark is in Ohio State's favor, and if the Buckeyes win next year they'll set a new record for consecutive wins in the series at 9.

Another Way To Shop Local πŸ›

I really enjoyed this list of ways to spend a day in black-owned Columbus.

Ticket Tax Results πŸ’Έ

The 5% arts ticket tax has now had four months of collection, and somewhere something has gone wrong. Either projections were wildly optimistic, or local arts and sports events have been tanking, because the tax so far is on track to collect less than 25% of annual estimates. The revenue is earmarked for local arts programs and maintenance of Nationwide Arena.

Crackpots Control Ohio

It's hard to draw any other conclusion when laws are passed requiring medical procedures that do not exist in medical science.
