Your New Favorite Donuts Are Waiting In Grandview Heights 🍩

We may be socially distancing but we still can be virtually together. During the Columbus Arts Fest in Place, June 12-14, you can shop for artwork online directly from 2020 Arts Fest artists, explore our Big Local artists and performers and participate in our Arts Fest Chalk Challenge. Click here for details!  🖼🎨

Welcome to August! Chelsea here.

There are two things I want to talk about this morning.

1.) What is this weather and can we have it forever?

2.) Donuts.

On the first point, I'd just like to say, after weeks of scorching hot temps yesterday's 70-degree day was such a breath of fresh air. On the second point, it's time that you get your butts to DK Diner for some incredible donuts. Come on, treat yourself! You know you wanna!

If you haven't stopped by Goodale St. to check out the Short North Summer Spray murals, you're missing out. Every weekend, a different artist is on-site adding to the gigantic, collaborative mural and it's amazing to see in person all of the hard work that goes into creating public art on this scale. You can click above for a peek at the murals completed so far.

Talking Points ❤️

Playoff Hockey 🏒

Sports are back, and our Columbus Blue Jackets have a big week ahead of them. They're taking on the Toronto Maple Leafs in the NHL's Stanley Cup Qualifier tournament. Last night saw game one, with the Blue Jackets shutting out Toronto 2-0. The series is best-of-five and game 2 will be Tuesday at 4 PM. Hit the link below for highlights, including the

for the Blue Jackets.

Treasure Hunting, From Columbus, Ohio 💰

This is an absurdly wild story about a local Columbus resident:

"How a brilliant scientist went from discovering a mother lode of treasure at the bottom of the sea to fleeing from authorities with suitcases full of cash."

Today's Photo 🤳

If I'm being honest, July felt like March part 5. It's so surreal to be living through a time that will eventually be studied, written about in books, and retold in movies. (Imagine the

Chernobyl

-style HBO documentary that awaits us down the road.) Living through it all with Columbus Navigator has been a blessing though, and hearing from all of you every day via email, Facebook, Instagram, and so on has made it all a little easier.

One of these months will be a turning point, but we probably won't know until looking at in hindsight. My money is on November, but here's to August and taking another crack at it all. ❤️
