Mostly sunny, but a chance of thunderstorms after 4pm. 30% chance of precipitation. To do: You've probably heard about this eclipse situation.  Check out our best places to view the eclipse in Columbus which also includes all the eclipse related events in town. Have you forgotten glasses? COSI will be handing out a limited supply at local parks and libraries. Have fun, and please don't go blind.

Navigator Originals:Walk-In Mental Health Services Available In Columbus [Wiley]Mental health service availability is a common question we have noticed cropping up in online Columbus based communities, and the answer to the question of where to go in a mental health crisis is disheartening. There's only one real option in Columbus.People Are Asking If Christopher Columbus Statues Should Be Removed. The Answer Is Yes. Probably. [Arney]It's possible your knee jerk reaction to this will be one of outrage fatigue, or just an outright "no" which is understandable. Sometimes it all feels like so much, and it's natural to want to avoid change. However, with recent events it's probably appropriate to be asking questions like this, and Columbus really was horrifically genocidal, and not actually the first to successfully sail west from Europe to North America. Given those facts, it's natural to start wondering what the point of these statues really is.

The Monday Conversation:Eclipse travel has been a boon to NetJets, with bookings of the private jet service way up compared to a normal early week in August. The company is expecting today to be their 4th biggest day of the year, behind holidays periods like Thanksgiving and Christmas. [Dispatch/Rose]A marker in Worthington commemorating the birthplace of a Confederate general has been removed. The home is privately owned and the decision was made by the owner. This is the second Confederate monument or memorial to come down in the last week, following the removal of a monument to Robert E. Lee in Franklin last week. [Dispatch/Gearino]Smart Columbus is already entering its second year, and Columbus Underground has an interview with Michael Stevens, Chief Innovations Officer for Smart Columbus, and Brandi Braun, Assistant Director for the Columbus Department of Public Service to look at what will be happening in year two. It sounds like more foundation building, and I'm becoming to get a bit uncomfortable with how large a role coal burning company AEP seems to be playing in the effort. Read on and see what what you think. [CU/Warren]

Longread for your lunch break:Jerry Lewis, aged 91, died on Sunday after a long and legendary career. Amy Wallace sat down with him back in 2011 for a wide ranging interview that lasted over eleven hours. If you're curious about Lewis, one of the very last links we had to old Hollywood and vaudeville, this is not a bad place to start.GQ: Jerry Lewis, the Essence of Comedy
