Cap City is open, a Dog festival, the best playgrounds in Columbus, and more ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Columbus Navigator Logo

Hello Monday. It's Chelsea.

I hope you're all ready to get back into the grind. Mondays are always a little rough for me. I never get to bed early enough, I always forget to do laundry, and I'm just bad, in general, about caring on Mondays. One thing that does cheer me up is knowing that I can explore a little on my lunch break. If you're searching for a place to grab a bite, please go check out Cap City Fine Diner in Grandview. They've finally reopened after an extensive renovation, and it's absolutely gorgeous. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฝ

I don't have kids, but I've heard about the struggle, and how very real it is, from friends who do. Getting all the kids packed up for an excursion to the park may not always be the most fun, initially. But after your kids experience some of these awesome playgrounds, they'll be begging you to stay longer. ๐Ÿšธ๐Ÿคช

I love my dogs more than I love basically anything else. When I see events like this, I get pretty darn excited. It's not just a "dog-friendly" festival. It's a fest that's 100% all about the puppers.  ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฉ

Governor John Kasich was on Meet the Press Sunday morning, and said last week's OH-12 special election was "a message from the voters to the Republicans that you've got to stop the chaos and you've got to get more in tune and stop alienating people and try to figure out, how do families do better.โ€ He also left open the possibility that he may run again for president in 2020.

Microsoft is entering into a partnership to expand wireless internet in rural Ohio. The digital divide in much of Ohio is real, with a mind boggling amount of the state still not covered by broadband internet. This partnership would use cell phone towers as well as parts of the television spectrum, and the goal is for it to be faster and more reliable than satellite internet.

Rock on the Range may be looking to move and the city of Columbus might be trying to offer Three Creeks Metro Park. This seems like very early discussions, but it seems likely this will engender a great deal of passion and controversy if it moves forward.
