This Victorian Village house might have the best backyard in Columbus 🏡🏊‍♀️

Hello Tuesday. It's James.

We're going to touch 60 degrees this week, and because I'm always getting ahead of my self, I'm already thinking about the summer and days by the pool.

You know who else is probably excited for summer? Whoever ends up buying this house.

Two blocks from High Street is this beautifully put together Victorian Village house, with great interior features that you'll probably scroll right past because the thing that draws attention is the ginormous backyard pool that feels completely audacious given the location.

Maybe you're not going to spring for a saltwater pool in your backyard, but you still might get some inspiration from this outoor space - and if you're in the market and have an $800k budget well ... let's throw a Columbus Navigator summer party once you close, ok?

Tuesday Weather 🌡55 and rain, mainly in morning and early afternoon. ☔️

Navigator Originals ✏️Two Capital Students Are Bringing Free Prom Dresses To Columbus’ Young WomenI don't say it lightly, but this is one of the smartest, kindest ideas for a charity I've ever come across. Kids only get a chance or two at prom, and it's distressing to think of all the kids who pass because they can't afford it all.Star Wars Is On Display In ‘The Force Of Fandom’ At CMAColumbus Museum of Art is killing it lately, and this Star Wars exhibit that focuses on the fandom side of things looks super interesting.

Around Town 🏘"Girl About Columbus" took a staycation at the Joseph and tells the story with some great photos. The wife and I have done the same thing and highly recommend it. Is this the best hotel in Columbus? [Girl About Columbus]Brad Rocco of Bexley Pizza Plus has received an international award for his Detroit-style pizza. As someone who eats there probably way too often, I have to say it's very deserved. Bexley Pizza Plus and Rubino's run neck and neck as my favorite pizzas in the Columbus area. [Dispatch/Malone]The Washington Post writes a farewell to the Columbus Crew. This feels (slightly) premature, but it's a great article. I realize many people aren't fans of the Crew, and many will buy into the narrative that the city failed to support the team, but this is the narrative Anthony Precourt wants people to believe. Even if you aren't a fan, it's very reasonable to be upset at the way the city of Columbus has been treated, and ultimately it's a team's job to attract fans. Fans owe professional sports teams nothing - it's the other way around, even though owners often claim otherwise. The Crew have done next to nothing under Precourt's ownership to build the fan base, deliberately, as an excuse to move, and it's a tragedy, as described in this article.  [Washington Post]

Longread 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️One of the most insane races in the world concluded yesterday, with no finishers. This is no surprise as the course has only been completed 18 times since the race's inaugural edition that took place all the way back in 1986. This run takes place in Tennessee, has been featured in a Netflix documentary (title: The Race That Eats Its Young), and first came to my attention in 2011 when I read this terrific article."THIRTY-FIVE RUNNERS FACE HOLLERS AND HELLS, A FLOODED PRISON, RATS THE SIZE OF POSSUMS, AND FLESH-FLAYING BRIARS TO TEST THE LIMITS OF SELF-SUFFICIENCY."The Believer: The Immortal Horizon
