A Columbus bakery is turning cookies into community support. The Original Goodie Shop has sold thousands of donation cookies to raise money for immigrant families in Central Ohio. The effort was inspired by national attention surrounding five-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos and his father. Proceeds are benefiting local organizations that support refugee and immigrant families. It’s a small, tangible way the Columbus community is showing up right now.

I never thought I’d get to attend an Olympic event right here in Columbus, but that dream is going to be a reality in 2028. The city will host Olympic soccer matches at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field, putting Columbus on the global stage.

🚌 Hundreds of South Western City Schools bus drivers, cafeteria workers, and support staff have voted to strike starting Feb. 9 if a contract agreement isn’t reached. The dispute centers on wages, health insurance costs, and what the union describes as bad-faith bargaining. (NBC4)
