Hello, Thursday! Chelsea, here.

Jazz & Rib Fest returns tomorrow, and it's shaping up to be a pretty great weekend for it. The weather isn't expected to be miserable, we can finally be outside without breathing wildfire smoke, and there are three days of incredible music and barbecue waiting downtown. We've rounded up everything you need to know before you go, including the best sets to catch, parking strategies, and a few tips that'll save you some headaches. Plus, the ribs aren't the food item making headlines for explosive digestive issues this week, so that's fantastic.

🥚 The Ohio State Fair’s New Deviled Egg Flavors Are Absolutely Unhinged
I love a deviled egg as much as the next girl. Okay, maybe not as much as my BFF Heather (she’s even got a Deviled Eggs hat), but I love them A LOT. But some of these choices are, well… choices. That said, you can bet I will be trying every single one.

🥳 The Best Things To Do In Columbus This Weekend
The weekend is almost here, friends, and it’s absolutely packed. Whether you're craving ribs, soccer, live music, county fair food, or the chance to watch baseball under black lights, we've rounded up the best things happening around Columbus from Friday through Sunday.

Headlines 📰

🌩️ Tuesday's severe weather packed quite a punch, with at least eight confirmed tornadoes touching down across Ohio and damaging microbursts hitting parts of Central Ohio. Meteorologists are still surveying storm damage, with more findings expected in the coming days. (NBC4)

🎭 The Garden Theater has lived a lot of lives over the last century. It’s been a vaudeville house, a burlesque theater, an adult cinema, and even a church. Now, it’s the home of Short North Stage. This fascinating look inside traces the history of one of Columbus's most iconic theaters. (WOSU)

🍲 We love shouting out Columbus Foodletter because they consistently share some of the city's best places to eat. Their latest stop is Nook on Parsons, a Dominican café serving incredible sancocho, empanadas, and authentic comfort food that's worth adding to your list. (Columbus Foodletter)

The Kicker 🤳

🥒 It's not every day you see a highway covered in pickles, but yesterday was apparently that day in Pickaway County. A truck hauling jars of pickles crashed on State Route 316, leaving crews to clean up a briny mess while the internet collectively tried to come up with better pickle puns than ODOT. 🤣
