Columbus has been named the hottest hipster market in America. 🤷‍♀️

Hello Friday. It's James.

A Realtor.com study, in conjunction with Yelp, has determined that Columbus is the hottest hipster market in America. Specifically, Clintonville. The study looked at the hottest housing markets combined with "hipster" indicators in the businesses serving that zip code.

Does this surprise you? I think of Clintonville as more yuppy-ish (yuppie is still a thing right? Or do we say bougie now?) but maybe I've been mis-categorizing. See what you think with Zoey's explainer below.

Around Town 🏘A United Way report was released Thursday with the conclusion that 40% of Ohio households "struggle to afford basics." [United Way]Business First has a look at the Blue Jackets team shop and new Adidas gear just in time for Opening Night tonight. The team was previously with Reebok, so everything is fresh and new. You're looking at $280 for an authentic jersey, or $225 for a replica. Old Reebok gear will be discounted, so bargain shoppers may be able to find some deals. Homage will have new Blue Jackets gear as well, but not until holiday shopping season. [Business First/Newpoff]Payday lenders in Ohio are able to charge the highest fees in the entire country, despite laws that have been passed to regulate them. New federal regulations have been proposed that would curtail payday lending and auto title lending, but will probably go nowhere in Congress. Ohio voters voted to restrict payday lending in 2008, capping interest at 28%, but payday lenders made the vote meaningless, finding a loophole that enabled them to register as mortgage lenders or credit-service organizations, which allows them to charge up to 591% APR.
