(it's so easy - here's a look at the process!) Good luck - we're all counting on you! 🇺🇸❤️

Happy Friday! Chelsea here.

I don't know about you all, but I am ready for a mini-vacation. Although I won't be heading out on one anytime soon, I've got a few spots that are climbing to the top of my "must-visit" list. This incredible Airbnb in Amish Country is one of them. If you're looking for a place to disconnect from social media and reconnect with your family, this is the spot. It's got sweeping, pastoral views, and plenty of space for your whole quarantine crew.

Last year, the Great Westerville Pumpkin Glow was one of my favorite fall activities. In 2020, they've reimagined it with COVID-19 safety in mind, turning it into a drive-through event.

Bellefontaine's Del Taco has already opened its doors, and a much closer option will be here before we know it. I'm so jazzed about this that I'm refraining from typing this in all caps.

Headlines 📰

a man named Lester Eubanks escaped from prison here in Columbus. This is surprisingly a timely story, because the saga has been recently revisited on Unsolved Mysteries, which has returned to Netflix for season 2 of its reboot. You can read a short summary of what happened in

but the full story is insane, in multiple ways, particularly in ways that specifically deal with Franklin County and Columbus, and for that you'll have to check out

(it's episode 5 of Volume 2). (Netflix)

I like the question asked here

- it's a subtle reframing and an interesting thought -

. You could definitely do worse for a quick overview of what's on your ballot this year (save for the specific races that may not apply to you if you don't live in the campus area.) (The Lantern)

Weather:

78 and mostly sunny, but a chance for showers throughout the day, including a possibility for thunderstorms after 2 PM

Coronavirus Updates 💊

I would like

to have better news, but today is not that day. 2,425 new cases, 159 new hospitalizations, and 12 new deaths. Another new record for cases -

Columbus libraries

have voted to purchase an air purification system for all 23 branches called needlepoint bipolar ionization with the aim of preventing viral spread.

. (Dispatch)

This is helpful

, because so much of what we know has changed since March (plus Columbus libraries make an appearance.)

Conkle's Hollow is looking gorgeous for fall, especially with the appropriately atmospheric mist. 🍂
