Here's Your Columbus Weekend Guide ππ€

T-minus 4 days. Make your voting plan now and commit to vote! View your ballot, vote early and avoid the line, or check your polling location. We're all counting on you! πΊπΈβ€οΈ
Happy Weekend, it's Tracie.
Columbus has the
best
fall weekend activities, hands down. There are comedians, sports games, musicals, and even crazy science experiments. But, this weekend, you better get ready to Crocodile Rock because the Rocketman is hitting the capital city! If you didn't know who to turn to, when the rains came in [these past few days], just follow the candle in the wind tonight to the Schott. (I love you, Elton!)

What better way to prepare for the arrival of Hamilton & RENT to Columbus, than pregaming with a little singalong action? And Disney fans shouldn't "let it go" by either. Everyone walks to the beat of their own drum, so why shouldn't we also sing to it. I'll be the one off-key.

I'm a Thanksgiving purist, despite (or in spite of?) being a vegetarian. I don't want any Tofurkey nonsense, just gimmie ALL the sides...okay, maybe not the cranberry sauce. Luckily, I have a gracious sister who hosts (and does
most
of the cooking), but if I didn't, you bet your (stretchy waist band) britches I'd be belly-up to one of the following restaurants.
5 Things To Know β€οΈ
Glory to Columbus! The Crew beat D.C. United in a shoot-off last night, which means they're moving forward in the playoffs. They will host a home playoff game Sunday, in what's sure to feature an absolutely insane crowd after the trials and tribulations of the last year. It'll be one of the best things going this weekend. β½οΈ [Ticketmaster]
I consider myself well informed, politically at least. Somehow I missed that former Ohio State standout Anthony Gonzalez is running for Congress π. [WOSU]
There's no questioning the service model at local bakery, Just Pies. This week, two out of the three locations announced their closure. Sometimes that's just how the cookie crumbles. Erm, pie. π° [614Now]
In another unfortunate closure news, the downtown location of El Arepazo is closing its doors as well. While the final day of business hasn't been announced, run, don't walk, to Pearl Alley while you still can.π [Dispatch]
Columbus Humane recently completed renovations, including the addition of a "dog adoption courtyard" and seven-foot tall cat condos. Sounds purrfect.ππ [ColumbusBusinessFirst]
Weather: Chance of rain β all day Friday, high of 48.
