Curated Cocktails Are Coming...To Your Doorstep 😍🙌🍹

Happy Fri-yay, Tracie here.

I'm gonna start by saying that if you're a frequent reader of my articles, you may think I'm a little too obsessed with booze. Wine, beer, vodka, really I love them all. In moderation (mostly) and when not driving (always). So the words "Cocktail" and "Subscription" are music to my ears.

In case you're wondering, other word combinations that are singing my tune are "Sleeping" and "Past 9" and anything following the word "Free." But mostly just cocktail subscription. You know what's perfect for a pitch black Columbus afternoon 😉? Wildlights at the Zoo for one. The member preview night is tonight, and while it does get super crowded (in my experience), it's plenty dark enough by 4pm-ish, and if you can get there early, you'll beat the crowds. There's also an abundance of indoor activities to check out as well, if being cold and surrounded by strangers isn't your favorite thing. I think I better start practicing the old "Bend & Snap" ahead of the Legally Blonde Musical at the Thurber Theatre. What, like it's hard?

The "Cap Cupboard" launched in October as a free resource for students who need easy access to food, when otherwise they may go hungry. The pantry works on a "points system" and is staffed by student volunteers.

Ohio Democrats just tried to add comprehensive sex education to the "heartbeat" abortion bill...

hoping to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies, thereby reducing the need for abortions. The attempt was blocked by the GOP, citing another bill being worked on that addressed such efforts.

Cincinnati's Over the Rhine neighborhood is now home to a Sam Adams taproom...

the first outside of their Boston headquarters. The taproom opens Thursday and will feature a rotating selection of Sam Adams brews on 12 taps. This location takes up residence in a 9,000 square foot spot on the first floor of the Film Center building.
