As we get closer and closer to the end of the year (and decade) I find myself thinking about whether or not I'm living up to the goals I've set for myself. One thing I promised myself I'd do more of is trying new things. Luckily, I have a job that helps me do just that. I love visiting new bars and restaurants, and Columbus Brewing Company's new taproom was no exception. If you haven't had a chance to check it out yet, you'll want to make time soon.

The inclusion of affordable housing units was part of how the new Arena District Crew Stadium was sold to the public. The team promised last December to develop 885 residential units, with "a minimum of 20% affordable units". That agreement was non-binding. It probably won't surprise you what happened next - in the actual binding agreement, that affordable housing requirement was dropped entirely and replaced with language requiring "developer’s good faith efforts to comply", and the total number of new housing units has been cut to 440 units total.
