It's been one of those weeks that leaves me feeling so grateful that the weekend has finally arrived. Memorial Day is sort of the unofficial launch of summer, and I usually like to use this weekend to spend time in the great outdoors. There are so many gorgeous spots around the state to explore, but nothing beats Blackhand Gorge State Nature Preserve. I promise you won't be disappointed. It's like our very own Middle Earth right here in Ohio.

I hope that we stop tearing down gorgeous buildings in this city someday. The Alfred Kelley Mansion was constructed in the popular Greek Revival style and it was truly a stunner.
