Columbus Taco Fest, Rock on the Range, And More. Here's what's going on around the Bus this weekend 🌮🎸😎
Happy Friday, Y'all. Chelsea, here.
If you haven't made weekend plans yet, listen up! There is so much going on around Columbus over the next few days. Downtown will be absolutely hopping, with the Columbus Taco Fest and the Race for the Cure both taking place on Saturday.
Mapfre Stadium and the surrounding area will be bustling for Rock on the Range. Of course, the event I'm most looking forward to has got to be my wedding. That's right, folks. The next time we speak, I'll be a married lady! I don't know what your plans are, but if you hit up the Taco Fest, which I'm so sad to be missing, be sure to have a margarita for me.

Around Town 🏘More than two months after the city of Columbus removed a “Kangaroo Crossing” sign, the infamous street sign will be making its way back to Clintonville. [WOSU] 🛑Ohio State Athletics has finalized their football schedule for the 2020 and 2021 seasons. They also moved back a home-and-home with Texas from 2022 and 2023 to the completely made up sounding science fiction-y years of 2025 and 2026. [Eleven Warriors] 🏈In more OSU scheduling news (this will tear my family apart): the men's basketball team will be playing Kentucky in December of 2019. [Eleven Warriors] 🏀As human beings, we succeed when we lift each other up. It's in our nature. That's why we love hearing about warm and fuzzy stories like this one, between a Columbus cop and a lonely, 96-year-old woman who just wanted someone to get her a birthday cake. [WBNS10tv] 🎂

Longread Everyone has dreams. Mine is that I can spend every day feeling as happy as I do on vacation, and preferable (one day) wake up to ocean views. So when I heard about Mario Salcedo, I thought to myself, "hey, he's totes living your dream life." Salcedo has been a full-time occupant on a cruise ship for the last two decades. He runs a small business out of his cabin and spends his days doing work on the deck looking over the ocean or participating in onboard activities. It may not be the best way to spend $65k per year, but it does sound incredibly fun. Mental Floss: The Life Aquatic: Meet Mario Salcedo, Full-Time Cruise Ship Passenger
