Here Are The Most Endangered Buildings In Columbus 🏛

Columbus Makes Art - Maggie Smith

Hello, Friday! Chelsea here.

Columbus has a bit of a history of tearing down history. We've seen some truly iconic buildings demolished through the years, which is why we're lucky to have an organization like the Columbus Landmarks Foundation. Through their work, we can all become more aware of the most vulnerable buildings in the city and work together to keep them from being demolished.

 💊

Almost everything will be reopened by the end of the month, as many new openings were announced, plus jobless numbers, and more in today's update.

 🎥🚘

I know how excited everyone was about the Drive-In at the Ohio History Center this weekend, so I feel like it's pretty safe to say that you'll be excited about this news as well. South Drive-In opens tonight and they've got a super cheap, 1950s inspired admission price in honor of the opening. You can read all about their COVID-19 precautions and their showtimes up above.

Talking Points ❤️

A Reconsideration 💸

We told you earlier this week about a hacker

to flood an Ohio system meant to collect reports from Ohio employers of workers who do not want to work during the pandemic. Ohio officials have hit pause and are now reconsidering - more details at the link below.

Columbus Breakfasts 🍳

Columbus Monthly is out with a huge spread on the best breakfasts in Columbus broken up in all sorts of ways. My favorite might be

but there's all sorts of other goodness at the link below. Unfortunately, some of these spots are currently closed, but many have takeout options and it's all good info to keep in your back pocket as Ohio begins to reopen.

Virtual Travel 🌍

We've linked a couple of these kinds of things in the past two months, but this is a particularly good roundup of virtual travel experiences you can enjoy from your living room, including a Great Wall of China hike, a Northern Lights experience, World Heritage sites and more. Turning down the lights and watching on a good-sized tv is an enjoyable way to spend some time.

Downtown and blue skies

Leaving you with some blue skies as a reminder of what that's like ahead of the three days of rain on tap for this weekend. Good luck to all the basement owners out there. 💦
