Columbus Navigator Logo

Happy Friday, y'all! Chelsea, here.

I hope you have all had a great week. The weather has been rainy, but the temperatures haven't been scalding, and in the end, that's really all that matters. I don't know what weekend plans you have, but you should definitely make time to stop in at the Columbus Arts Festival.

Art of all kinds will pack the banks of the Scioto River in Downtown C-bus, and in true Columbus fashion, there will be tons of food and drink options. This year, the festival has added a local craft beer tent, aka the perfect place to wet your whistle. If you need the deets, don't worry baby birds, I'll feed ya.

Friday Weather 🌡Today we're looking at a high of 86F. It's going to be partly sunny 🌤but don't let that fool you. There is still a chance for thunderstorms ☔️ throughout the day.

P.S. If you find yourself at Wizard World or the Arts Festival, find me and say "hey"!

Around Town 🏘Bon Appétit is doing a series celebrating America's Favorite Neighborhood Restaurants. Here in Columbus, they featured the Saraga International Market and all of the wonders it holds. Longread When Fuji Scoggins and her husband first moved into their home 40 years ago, she didn't have any idea of the life her home and land had before she lived there. When the truth came out, that her home had been the only spared in a brutal attack against the predominantly black community of Rosewood, FL, Scoggins was shocked. Now at the age of 84, Scoggins is ready to sell her home. She just hopes that whatever the house becomes, it transfers peacefully. Tampa Bay Times: The Last House in Rosewood
