The Best Ice Cream Shops In Columbus 🍦

Grab your quarantine crew, hop in the car, and watch a flick the old-fashioned way at the Easton Sunset Series Drive-In! Easton will announce their next week’s line-up every Friday, so follow them on social media and visit their website to stay informed! 📽🍿
Happy Friday! Chelsea here.
Summer officially arrives this weekend, so there's no time like the present to treat yourself to a sweet treat. Columbus does ice cream incredibly well, so you'll have plenty of scoop shops to choose from. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and that you have the opportunity to treat yourself or someone else to a little kindness as well as ice cream.

CMA announced that they'll be reopening at the end of the month with two new exhibitions and a slew of new COVID-19 guidelines. Social distancing while admiring some art sounds pretty great.

Speaking of summer and social distancing... paddleboarding is a great way to have some fun while keeping yourself a safe distance from others. I have to be honest, I'm pretty terrible at balancing on a stand-up paddleboard, but it's so fun that my ineptness doesn't stop me from trying.

Happy Juneteenth!
Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. The holiday celebrates
, more than two years after Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation. Here's how you can celebrate Juneteenth around Columbus.

Mural Preservation
🖼
Greater Columbus Arts Council has launched a beautiful website with all of the downtown murals posted for posterity. Clicking on each mural brings up an artist statement on the piece, and I would be lying if I didn't admit I got sucked in and read them all. This isn't meant to be the complete preservation aspect of the project - GCAC is still soliciting feedback on what to do there, which you can give at the email address
.

Dublin tourism has partnered with 25 Dublin-area restaurants to produce "Picnic Packs" full of finger foods, with the idea being that you'd buy one and enjoy it in a Dublin-area park (they've even produced
with ideas on where to go.) It would be fun to see this idea in Columbus and every central Ohio city.

Soul Food ❤️
Things have been heavy lately, so please read this article about a restaurant on Sunbury Rd. in NE Columbus that 1) looks amazing and 2) is doing a tremendous amount of good in the community.
