Happy Friday. It's Chelsea.

I hope you're all ready for the weekend. I know I am. This one is particularly jam-packed, so hopefully you're ready to get out and see Columbus.

Every Saturday in the summer, I feel like I have one "must-do" item on my list. This weekend, it's the Jazz & Rib Fest, one of my favorite festivals in the city. Good food and great music: what more do we really need out of life? 🎷

Friday Weather 🌑85 and storms, mostly before 5pm. 90% chance of precipitation. Our weekend weather is looking a bit rough, so take advantage if you're wanting to get outside and you catch a window of opportunity. Highs of 80 on both Saturday and Sunday, with thunderstorms both days. β›ˆβ›ˆβ›ˆ

Navigator Originals βœοΈMark Wahlberg Wants To Sell You A Car In Columbus2018 has been full of unexpected news for Columbus. But so far, Mark Wahlberg opening a Chevy dealership on the west side takes the cake. πŸš—The Fantasy Columbus Transit Map Has Been Updated And It’s BreathtakingThis map is sadly beautiful since it's unlikely to ever come to fruition. The map itself along with the supporting graphics are a ton of fun though - some of this stuff would look great on a shirt. πŸš‰Columbus Could Be Home To The First Hyperloop One Cargo Test RouteThen again, maybe trains, of a sort, are in our future after all. This Hyperloop One test track will potentially run between Rickenbacker and John Glenn and can carry cargo and up to 20 passengers. πŸš„

Around Town 🏘Short North's Food Hall has a new tenant - Uncle Drew’s Fried Chicken. I love the Food Hall concept and hope it'll involve a (slowly) rotating line-up with resident restaurants graduating to their own spaces with new concepts continually taking their place. [614 Now] πŸ—Not pleasant news, but something of a PSA: rat sightings in four Columbus neighborhoods have spiked this year. Consider it a reminder to keep pet food sealed (and birdseed off the ground), trash sealed, and so on. [10TV] πŸ€Preston's - the Columbus burger pop-up with lofty goals (they want to be the Columbus culty favorite akin to In-N-Out) - will be getting a second pop-up location, moving into the Short North’s Eugene’s Canteen. They are also going to take over the Challah! food truck, which will be re-branded as a Preston's truck. [CU/Sega] πŸ”
