It's been a long week so I thought we'd end it on something wonderful. I come from a family full of firefighters and I can personally attest to their willingness to band together and take on any job that needs to be done. So it doesn't surprise me at all to hear about this group of Columbus firefighters who renovated the house of a beloved professional colleague after she suffered a fall. Just go ahead and get your tissues ready now, folks. This is a sweet story.

I seriously cannot wait for Quarry Trails to open. The 62-acre first phase of the new park will open up this fall, including access to both lakes, with the remaining hundred-plus acres opening over the coming years.

Ohio is full of interesting history. These incredible earthworks were created by people living in Ohio a millennium ago and they're well worth a visit. I especially can't believe something as phenomenal as the Serpent Mound exists here in Ohio. It's an absolute wonder.
