This Insane VR Experience At Easton Is An Absolute Must 😲

Nate Beeler

Sponsored by Decorative Arts Center of Ohio and their upcoming talk from Nate Beeler, an award-winning editorial cartoonist for Counterpoint, a groundbreaking new commentary venture. He was the editorial cartoonist at The Columbus Dispatch from 2012 to 2019 and prior to joining the Ohio capital’s newspaper, the Columbus native drew cartoons for more than seven years in the nation’s capital for The Washington Examiner. He will be drawing and explaining the art of cartooning Sunday, March 1st - tickets are available here! 🎨💥

Happy Friday! Chelsea here.

In my neverending quest to discover exciting things around Columbus and share them with all of you, I've had the opportunity to do some pretty incredible things. But at the very top of that list right now is my visit to Dreamscape at Easton. In case you haven't heard, Dreamscape is a virtual reality experience that opens today. I don't know exactly what I was expecting, but I can tell you without a doubt that I didn't think it would be this immersive. If you get the chance to check it out, please do.

Navigator Originals ✏️

 🍷

Let's wine down the week (I'm sorry, I couldn't resist) with a visit to some of our city's best wine bars. Cheers, fam.

 📆

We get a whole extra day in February and it's a weekend, so we all better take advantage of it. There is a lot going on this weekend, and I mean a lot. Good luck finding time to fit everything in!

🏡

Whenever a Queen Anne style home is up for grabs in Columbus, I can't help myself but check it out. It's one of my favorite styles of homes and this one on S Champion is no exception. It's got a unique front porch and I'm loving it.

Talking Points ❤️

Finally, A Jersey Sponsor ⚽️

One of Anthony Precourt's main stated reasons for wanting to move the Crew to Austin concerned his difficulties securing a jersey sponsorship locally. The new ownership group cut it close to Opening Day this Sunday, but they've managed to land a long term sponsorship with Nationwide. The Crew will rep Nationwide Children's Hospital for 2020 before shifting to Nationwide Insurance in 2021, with Children's Hospital moving to a community partnership role. The kits look pretty good with this sponsor - hit the link to check them out and for more details.

Katalina's, Too 🥞

If you still haven't stopped by the new Katalina's, Too in Clintonville (here are

), then consider this review from Breakfast With Nick a reminder to check it out, because it's pretty outstanding.

Experiencing Columbus ✈️

This mom blogger visited Columbus for Experience Columbus and looks like she had a great time with an itinerary that would be great the next time you have a visitor. She hadn't been to Columbus in about 20 years after growing up in Northwestern Ohio, and it's interesting to read her perspective on the changes we've seen.
