Happy Valentine's Day! Chelsea here.

Consider this email as a Valentine's Day card from me to you. I'm sorry it doesn't involve more glitter and glue, but this will have to do. The cold weather isn't messing around today. Naturally, because it's a holiday where we'll want to go out looking adorable, it's going to be freezing. But that's okay because Columbus knows how to keep us entertained indoors. Grab a cocktail and go do something fun, all while staying toasty and warm.

Even though this winter has been as cold as usual, it has been pretty gray and rainy. That lack of Vitamin D can wear down the best of us, so don't forget to practice a little self-care this winter. Whether that's going for a hike or enjoying places like the Palm House at Franklin Park Conservatory, there are plenty of ways to keep your spirits up until spring.

Word's can't describe how excited I am that the one and only Trixie Mattel will be in Columbus this weekend. Even if top-notch comedy from one of the fiercest Drag Queens isn't on your agenda, I'm certain you can find something super fun to do.

I'm a sucker for mixed-materials in a kitchen and that King-Lincoln house is giving me a lot of feelings. The tile work is incredible and is totally worth checking out in person. Any of these gems could be your new home, my friends.

Talking Points ❀️

"Legal" Drug Dealers 🚨

This is quite the story from Columbus Monthly. There's a fabulously wealthy doctor, a south end pill mill, lies, family drama, and murder. It's a whole lot, but if you're the kind of person who is into true crime, well, this is for you.

One Idea πŸ’‘

Everyone has something they'd like to see fixed in Columbus. Councilmember Elizabeth Brown

to submit their ideas for a chance to be one of 5 people selected to present their ideas at the first #PolicyPitchNight. It's an interesting concept, and if you have an idea I encourage you to submit (and feel free to tell us about it too.)

Always Be Skeptical 🎨

A bit of a 180 after the last item, but this is a city that can sometimes drive you to cynicism. Last year, State Auto demolished a building with a very loved mural on it to make way for a new $20 million ... parking garage. There was plenty of discussion at the time,

, and now that the building has been demolished, and the mural lost forever, the parking garage probably isn't happening after all.
