Sponsored Columbus Symphony 🎵
Hear Columbus Symphony concertmaster Joanna Frankel perform Prokofiev’s hauntingly beautiful second violin concerto, a staple of the solo violin repertoire. Also on the program, Rossen Milanov leads the orchestra’s string section in Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw’s Entr’acte, originally written as a string quartet and later expanded for string orchestra. Tickets start at $10.
Hello, Friday! Chelsea here.
We have arrived at the weekend, friends! But before we dive into all of the fun stuff that Columbus has planned for this weekend, we’ve got to talk about trains. Specifically, about a proposed station in a northwest Columbus suburb. With every new morsel of news about the expansion of passenger rail in Central Ohio, I get more and more excited for the potential. In addition to the downtown station, this new station would link major urban centers along the two corridors, connecting Chicago, Columbus, Pittsburgh, and more.
