Ohio Will Begin Reopening on May 1. Here's What That Means 😷

Hello, Friday! Chelsea here.

During yesterday's press conference, Gov. DeWine said the words that many have been longing to hear. The plans to reopen Ohio's economy are in the works and slated for May 1, but it won't be like it was before. We're going to have a very different definition of normal for the foreseeable future, but it's a glimmer of light at the end of a long tunnel and I think we can all be grateful for that.

The Memorial has been rescheduled, unemployment claims are soaring, and the battle against Coronavirus rages on in our state's nursing homes.

 ❄️🐻

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is asking for the public's help in choosing a name for the adorable polar bear cub that was born late last year. But before we can give him a name, we need to get to know him a little bit better. The overwhelming joy that these photos bring is the perfect way to start your Friday. That one where he's upside down in the dirt? I. Can't. Even. 😍

 🍩

There is one, sure-fire way to brighten any day: donuts. Luckily for all of us, a lot of our favorite donut shops have transitioned to carry-out only, and that's something to be grateful for. Eating a dozen donuts sounds like exactly the kind of quarantine mood I'm after.

Keeping the exploration hyperlocal is a good idea right now, and in that spirit, I really enjoyed this guide to Clintonville's ravines and bird tunnel.

I'm guessing new restaurant openings are going to be rarer than hen's teeth for a bit here, so it's exciting news to hear that the old German Village Max and Erma's location will soon be home to Chapman's Eat Market. It'll be chef-owned, and the chef in question (BJ Lieberman) previously worked at the Michelin-star-winning restaurants Rose’s Luxury and Little Pearl in Washington, D.C. Until things start to reopen it will operate as a market focused on takeout. More below:

Handstand Champion 🤸‍♀️

People are bored and finding ways to spend time, leading to things like

or this bananas handstand challenge that requires a person to put on a t-shirt while doing a handstand. Olympic gold medal born-in-Columbus gymnast Simone Biles made it look easy, not even using wall assistance unlike celebs

 and

. This video is wild and I'm seriously in awe.

Pretty sure this guy thinks you're doing a great job (it also looks like he might love Walnut Woods as much as we do!) 😍
