West Case Park will feature trails, wetlands, sports courts, a sprayground, and a restored historic farmhouse. The city plans to begin construction this winter and it’s one of the most ambitious park projects Columbus has taken on in years.

Headlines 📰

💸 The future of the Columbus Promise program is uncertain after Mayor Andrew Ginther’s new budget allocated no funding for the initiative, despite earlier pledges to support it. City Council President Shannon Hardin criticized the omission and vowed to find a way to keep the tuition-free college promise alive as debates over city spending continue. (NBC4)

🚓 Whitehall City Councilmember Gerald Dixon was sworn in for a new term just hours after being released from jail on charges that he sexually abused minors, allegations stemming from a years-long investigation involving the FBI. Dixon says he will not resign, while city leaders explore whether he can be removed from office as the case moves forward. (WOSU)
