Hello, Monday! Chelsea, here.

The last week has been a rough one around Columbus, to put it mildly. Between tornadoes, flooding, power outages, and generally wondering what the sky is going to throw at us next, I think we’ve all earned a little time to just sit down and eat something good. So today, we’re keeping things cozy and taking a look at some of Columbus’ tiniest restaurants and cafes, from intimate Italian spots to old-school diners and a coffee shop that’s basically six feet wide. Grab a friend, find a table, and let someone else worry about dinner for a change. Honestly, after the week we’ve had, we deserve it.

🌮 Columbus Taco Week Is Back With $10-And-Under Taco Deals Across Central Ohio
Columbus Taco Week kicks off today with taco specials for $10 or less at spots around central Ohio, and you don’t need a ticket or fancy pass to get in on it. Plus, a portion of the proceeds benefits Mid-Ohio Food Collective, so really, this is just a very good excuse to eat tacos all week.

🤝 How To Help Columbus Recover After Last Week’s Severe Weather
As we said above, the weather’s been rough around here, and plenty of people are wondering how they can help with the cleanup and recovery. We rounded up some of the best ways to pitch in, whether you have a few hours to volunteer, some food to donate, or just a little money to spare.

Headlines 📰

🔵 The Columbus Aviators are already sending players to NFL training camps, with eight players from the team currently trying to make the jump to the big leagues. The UFL says nearly 50 players are in NFL camps this summer, making the league an increasingly legit pipeline for NFL talent. (Axios Columbus)

Central Ohio got another round of severe weather over the weekend, leaving thousands without power and bringing another tornado warning just days after the EF1 tornado hit south Columbus. AEP has restored power to more than 200,000 customers since Tuesday, but thousands were still waiting for the lights to come back on Sunday night. (NBC4)

🎬 A new movie starring Will Poulter and Noah Centineo is putting a central Ohio drug court in the spotlight, blending fiction with real footage from Bellefontaine’s Adult Recovery Court. “Union County” takes a quieter look at addiction recovery, focusing less on the crisis itself and more on the people trying to build their lives back up. Instagram Post

🪿 Wild Goose Creative has joined a long list of Columbus institutions that have been crashed into by cars. At this point, it kind of feels like cars are ending up in buildings every other day around here, but maybe we shouldn’t be too surprised considering the first car accident ever happened right here in Ohio.
